Re-Release - All Aboard! II

I've been quite productive designing wise these past few weeks, and have decided to retexture one of my very first designs - All Aboard! This retro swimsuit was originally released 17th April 2009, so it deserved an update.  My texturing skills have improved so much since Vita Bella began back in 2008, so I plan to continue retexturing or improving quite a few of my oldest designs, to keep the standard of Vita Bella clothing consistent.

All Aboard! II features a new design on the bust, which includes a contrasting scarlet trim and knot bow.  A peephole under the knot bow gives a seductive glimpse of skin.  The original sculpted hat is included to complete the outfit, with a completely new texture.  Perfect for lazy days on the beach, sailing, or simply being the perfect SL pinup!  All Aboard! II has been released inworld and on the Marketplace for L$199.

Rita, Grace and Cupcake Dresses

Hello everyone!

I haven't updated on here for a while so I thought I'd better do one big update with the three releases from the past few weeks all bundled into one post.

First up is the latest release 'Cupcake' - a 1960's inspired dress with a cute peter pan collar, slit open back and oodles of lace. (Pictured above).  This dress is very sweet, and comes in 5 scrumptious flavours: Vanilla, Mint, Rose, Lavender and Blueberry.  An exclusive edition was released to group subscribers yesterday, in 'Dark Chocolate Cherry'.

I had a great time photographing the promotional shots for this one.  I found a great replica of Paris (http://secondlife.com/destination/paris-1900) which has plenty of brilliant photo opportunities, and a plane swooping beneath the Arc De Triomphe, what more could you want?  It is well worth a visit if you get the chance, you can even ride around the sim in a horse and carriage!

Anyway, back to the dresses - next up is 'Grace', released last week.  Grace is a classic halter dress with a contrast silk inlay on the bust, and a full circle skirt with optional petticoat.  This stunning dress comes in six vibrant prints: Summer Berries (pictured below), Firework, Ahoy, Dark Pink Polka, Ruby Pin Dot and Rosie Posie. It is based on this dress by Stop Staring!, a dress worn by Dita and a vintage sewing pattern I found:

I love the way it turned out.

Last but not least is 'Rita' - a 1940's secretary 2-in-1 pencil dress that cuts a very slinky office silouhette.  Rita comes in five different colour combinations: Red/Black, Black/Red, Black/Purple, Purple/Teal and Blue.

New Release - Veronica Dress

Introducing the Veronica Dress from Vita Bella - a slinky, sophisticated off the shoulder 1950's gown that's sure to turn heads.  I've been wanting to create an off shoulder wiggle dress for ages, and I finally succeeded!  The bodice and skirt are textured to a very high standard, and the flowing side sash completes the look.  Perfect for any occasion! Comes in 5 colours: Magenta, Black, Blue, Green and Red.  A fatpack of all 5 colours is also available.  Simply beautiful!

Customer Service Desk

Announcing the arrival of the brand spanking new customer service desk at Vita Bella!  I thought the shop needed an area focussed on interaction with the customers who visit it, so I created the customer service desk. From here you can drop me a message, or find notices of SL vintage events and freebies/dollarbies (coming soon!).  The group joiner is in this area too.  It makes Vita Bella look much neater and a whole lot more professional, yay!

I'm currently working on upgrading the stock displays in the Vita Bella store as well as rustling up a brand new design, which I hope you'll love.

New Take on an Old Favourite...

Hello again! Two posts in one day, my goodness, aren't you lucky?

A while back I began updating some of my oldest designs to match the standard of my newer ones, as I would like my customers to be confident that whichever design they choose to buy will be of the highest standard in terms of texturing and attachments. I began with the Hairspray costumes, but then got a little distracted by the lure of new shiny designs on the horizon and got involved with making them instead. I'm back on track with updating stock now and although the thought of a complete overhaul of the oldest stock is a daunting prospect, I know it's something that I have to do.

So, I thought what better place to start than at the very beginning, with my very first design, 'Classic Red Polka'? This dress was the very first outfit I ever made in Second Life, and it really shows. It's had a good run in its original form, but is in desperate need of an update.

Firstly, I worked on the bodice and made the shading a heck of a lot more subtle around the chest area. The colour is also a much more vibrant red, and the straps now match over the shoulders. The biggest difference has to be the black cinch belt, which is now a prim attachment. This prevents the texture stretching when the ribcage of the avatar moves, and also means that you get a nifty cinch belt to wear with other outfits too. Wahey.

I hope that you'll agree that the new version is a great improvement on the original. I'm sure you'll be pleased to hear that the price has also improved - dropping to just L$200! The Lucky Chair has also been updated with the latest version.

New Release - Lola

Hello everyone,

The new release this month is a classic vintage silk high-waisted pencil skirt with a co-ordinating silk blouse. This outfit accentuates your curves and just oozes silky sophistication! The blouse is tied at the neck with a pussy bow and has cute capped sleeves. My favourite things about this outfit are the small star shaped buttons at the waist of the skirt, which make a pretty finishing touch and come in gold or silver. New Release at Vita Bella Vintage Fashion: Miss Scarlet

Hello! I've got round to releasing a new burlesque set, available in store now. 'Miss Scarlet' is a lovely costume, made of scarlet and black velvet. The underbust corset is made of gorgeous scarlet velvet with venise lace applique and black dupioni silk accents. The set includes a matching scarlet velvet bra with matching applique, black ruffled knickers and matching suspender belt to boot. Of course no burlesque outfit would be complete without a bustle, and the one included in this set finishes the costume perfectly. Made of matching black velvet and black lace with scarlet peacock feathers and a black velvet bow, this bustle is a showstopper :). This is all topped off with a pair of vintage seamed stockings with a red bow detail at the back. At just $L275 this is a fine quality burlesque costume at a great price!

Roll Up! Roll Up for the Second Life Hurly Burly Circus!

Just a quick entry to give you a sneak preview of the next release from Vita Bella - An as yet unnamed scarlet and black velvet corset burlesque set.. Complete with the first feathered fan I've ever made. Think it turned out to be quite a success! This outfit will feature in the new Vita Bella Vintage ad campaign, due to begin in the October issue of the lovely Retropolitan magazine. Designed with the circus in mind, although it may not show it, this outfit is turning out to be one of my favourites already.

New second life vintage dress release - Wedding Belle!

Just a quick update to give you a peek at a new vintage wedding dress available at Vita Bella Vintage Fashion today! Named 'Wedding Belle', this beautiful lacey full circle bridal gown is sure to turn heads on or off the second life aisle.
